PRESBYTERIAN DAY SCHOOL

At P.D.S, we held out parent/student celebration this Friday, September 26th. Students displayed what they've learned during the first month. Parents also participated in a few activities their kids do at school. We want to thank the parents for their unconditional support during this past month.

" A Nation Proud and Free, Belize @ 43" We proudly waved our flag as we paraded the streets of Cristo Rey village. Parents, students, and teachers joy-filled collaborated as they displayed creativity and patriotism in displaying who we are as a school and as a Belizean people.
Learning is meaningful when it is not limited to the classroom. The class of std 1&2 visited the Presbyterian Medical Clinic to deepen their understanding of infectious diseases and the importance of vaccination.
"Necessity is the mother of invention". proverb
" Where there is a will, there is a way". quote
The heavy rains have left part of the campus muddy and inaccessible. The students voiced their concern and asked to use the resources available to help alleviate the mud issue temporarily.
If you wish to help provide a dry and mud free side walk, feel free to contact the school.
To conclude our day, the school served a real need for real people, school Formation Learning Experience (FLEX). Each class collected donations and with the donations, 4 baskets of groceries were prepared for families in the communities of Cristo Rey and Patchakan. As we celebrate Reformation month, we want to model for and teach our students the heart of giving joyfully to the community.
When Parents are invited to form part of the students learning journey, the student is encouraged and motivated. We held our second parent/student celebration. Here are some highlights of how the morning looked like.

At P.D.S we are committed to helping students find their place in God's story. Our teachers use a variety of competency based activities that help develop the students abilities

As you celebrate the birth of Christ in the warmth of your home, we want to share some highlights of what was our Christmas celebration at P.D.S

We want to thank the environmental Club, standard 5&6, the teachers and supporters for joining us on the clean up campaign. We were able to help clean the villages of Cristo Rey, Yo-chen, and Patchakan. As a school we are modelling to our students what it is to be responsive disciples of Christ as earth keepers. let us work for cleaner and greener communities by disposing of the garbage properly, using the dumpsites correctly, and encouraging to keep our public spaces and bus tops and buildings clean, garbage free
The class of Standard 1 and 2 (grade 3 and 4) had the privilege of connecting with Trenton Christian School from Ontario, Canada virtually. This provides the opportunity to deepen the students learning and to know more about each other's countries. It was a wonderful time.
Here are some highlights of what learning has been at P.D.S during the month of January. Skills are developed, community is build, curiosity is stirred, and learning is made fun.
